Disclaimer: I propose to curse fluently, angrily, and gratuitously. This is not going to be a polite, ambiguous statement because I am, quite frankly, pissed off. So, if you are offended by strong language, go read something else. If you disagree with my views, go somewhere else. I am in no mood to deal with an opposing viewpoint right now. Maybe I'll be in a better mood tomorrow. Disclaimer over.

Dear America.

I am enraged. I am fucking furious. Do you know why no one pays attention to mass killings in Africa anymore? Because it's not news. It happens: every; fucking; day. And the number of mass killings... excuse me -- mass murders occurring here is climbing every year. Go read the bloody statistics. And yes, I mean bloody. The blood of the students at Columbine; the blood of the fucking CHILDREN at Sandy Hook; the blood of the men killed in Orlando. Now answer this: why are there people (who purport to be sane) that state there should be NO GUN REGULATION? Are you out of your FUCKING MINDS?

If that's your stance, don't come crying to me when your mother dies in a car crash next week. Cars are regulated. You have to get insurance. You have to get a license. You have to follow the speed limit. And if you don't do any of those things, you have to pay a fine or have your car impounded.

If that's your stance, don't come crying to me when your child dies of cancer next year. Cancer cells are created in your body every day. If enough of the cells metastasize, what happens? You go to the hospital to have the cancer cut out. Or you get radiation therapy. Or you might change your diet. All efforts to REGULATE the cancer.

I am fed up with all of the "no gun control" bullshit that the NRA espouses. Those idiots piss me off. You know what they want? They want to be able to shoot someone in the face, have the victim apologize, and then go on their merry way. And don't tell me that it can't happen because it did. Look up the Dick Cheney hunting incident. And do you know what happened to Dick Cheney? NOTHING! The fucking blindness of some people really makes me mad. You have a shooting EPIDEMIC occurring and there are still people saying, "No gun control!" Are you out of your COPIOUSLY FORNICATING PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR GELATINOUS SACKS OF NEURONS? Do you honestly think that the answer to your problem is more guns?!? Let me put it in a metaphor that's a little more up-close-and-personal for you, shall I?

I could kill you with my bare hands. On a few days when I'm really enraged (like today, ha ha), I could just break somebody. But I don't. Why? Because I've been taught to regulate myself; because my parents taught me self-control; because I had senseis who taught me that avoiding a fight was better than putting my fist through your spine. I've done that. I have walked away from a situation that could have easily become a brawl in the street. And I was taught self-defense. Imagine if I was taught something more aggressive. Imagine that I was having a bad day and I was walking towards you in a dark, empty parking lot while you fumbled for your keys. Would you feel safe? Some of you would -- because you know me. Some of you might not.

Understand me clearly because I am rapidly losing patience with some of the idiocy that occurs in this country. Do I blame all Americans? No. There are sane people who live here. Some of them are gun owners. I would feel safe if I was near these people because they understand that guns are equated with responsibility. But the idea that has been put forth that ties American identity to unregulated gun use is not something that I can stomach for much longer. So go ahead. Keep crying foul every time a massacre happens. Keep telling yourself that more guns will solve the problem. Vote for Trump. He'll probably agree with you. And yes, I will leave this country. I'm here legally, but I don't have any desire to become an American citizen. This is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. If it were, Americans wouldn't have to travel abroad with Canadian flags on their luggage. Does that seem like national pride to you?

Get it together, America. Or you'll just be another blip on the news that no one cares about.
